WPA Executive Board Job Descriptions

  • President

     

    Oversees all officer duties. The President has overall responsibility of the Panhellenic Association and also serves as the official spokesperson for WPA. The President will attend and preside at all executive, regular, and special meetings of the Panhellenic Council and Association while maintaining a good relationship with the Dean of Students Office. Will be required to attend MGCA conference in February, attend weekly meetings with current Graduate Assistant, attend bi-weekly Greek Life Committee and Greek Community Council meetings, and also attend President meetings.

    Executive Vice President

     

    The EVP is the head of Judiciary Board and is responsible for any infractions throughout the year and their sanctions. The EVP is also responsible changing and updating the WPA bylaws and constitution. Plans and implements educational programs in the area of risk management, quarterly. Will provide written documentation and distribute to the chapters on areas of risk management. Also EVP will enforce WPA risk management regulations and procedures, notifying appropriate officers of violations and is to work with GAMMA. The EVP will act as President if the President is unable to fulfill any duties.


  • VP Finance and Administration

     

    VP Finance is responsible for completing all transactions for the Women’s Panhellenic Association. VP Finance is responsible for creating and maintaining a budget for the entire fiscal year they are in office.  VP Finance shall also distribute and collect membership dues for all chapters on campus each quarter they are in office. Serves as the Panhellenic Delegate to the Student Activities Commission. The VP of Administration delegates all meetings. Such things as taking attendance, passing out minutes, calling role for the delegates and copying minutes for everyone in the meeting. She is responsible for typing up the minutes to put on record after each meeting and emailing them to chapter presidents and chapter advisors, as well as all other appropriated people. 


  • VP Recruitment

     

    Directly responsible for all aspects of Panhellenic Recruitment. Serves as Chairperson of the Panhellenic Recruitment Committee. Reviews Code of Ethics and makes appropriate changes and is responsible for seeing that chapters abide by the Code of Ethics and Recruitment Contract. Is directly responsible for editing the Recruitment contract. Plans and implements Recruitment and Sorority Orientation and is responsible for ordering recruitment favors. Also is responsible for planning bid day. Responsible for preparation and reservation of recruitment displays in Baker Center. 

     


  • VP Programming

     

    Responsible for preparing informational programs for the Panhellenic Association and University and will work with other programming departments and organizations for possible co-sponsored programs. Assists VP Wellness with all community and charity projects and will keep a current calendar of all programs of the Panhellenic Council member sororities and major campus events. Is directly responsible for Homecoming and Greek week committees and events.

    VP of Rho Gammas

     

    Coordinates the Recruitment Counselor interview and selection process. Develops, plans, schedules, implements and coordinates the Recruitment Counselor Training Program, including the Rho Gamma manual. Reviews, refines and develops the Recruitment Counselor written application. Selects and trains Recruitment Counselor interviews and selection committee. Will plan and implement a Rho Gamma retreat spring quarter. Maintains correspondence and works closely with executive officers, chapter advisors, recruitment advisors and Panhellenic delegates throughout summer and during recruitment. Is directly responsible for ICS, the software mandatory for recruitment. Maintains assigned recruitment budget and schedules recruitment dates and event times. Chooses recruitment theme and oversees informal recruitment and COB.

    VP Public Relations and Communications

     

    Publicize and promote Panhellenic Council activities and maintain relations with public relations chairs from chapters for WPA events, chapter events and philanthropies. She is in charge of the Recruitment booklet and the Recruitment kickoff slideshow and video. She is also in charge of the WPA website, all social media, and WPA apparel designs. Directly responsible for all publicity for WPA events, specifically formal recruitment. Must be well-versed in either InDesign or Photoshop.

     VP of Academic and Career Advancement

     

    Meets regularly with Chapter VPs of Scholarship to enhance their scholarship programs, stay informed of their progress, and share ideas. Coordinates programming on graduate school opportunities and career services. Will post Dean’s List for panhellenic members. Attends all WPA executive board meetings and participates in all board functions. Participates in all panhellenic recruitment activities. Coordinates projects of own initiative that promote and reward academic excellence within the Greek Community.

    VP Community Service and Campus Involvement

     

    Coordinates all Panhellenic quarterly service projects such as Aimesville. Informs chapters on service projects through Center of Community Service. Organizes philanthropy each quarter to raise money for service project funding. She will also have duties of keeping track of every sorority’s wellness points. Every quarter, each sorority must do a certain number of non-mandatory events, it is your duty to help each chapter find events to attend or plan. Also, you must plan and execute a mandatory event, which every sorority must attend. You need to work closely with the VP of programming to get as many events completed each quarter.

    VP Membership

     

    The VP of membership will be responsible for mentoring the newest members of the greek community. She must inform them of expectations and meet often to help them through the new member process. Meet with chapter VPs of Membership weekly fall quarter to prepare new members. Plan activities, new member conference, and Bid Day. Help chapters hold each other accountable for actions and increase relations. Coordinate events with all councils such as All Greek Panel and All Greek Ball.
